With this adjustable hospital air bed, caregivers can easily and frequently position immobile patients per physician and nursing "up-in-chair" orders earlier throughout the patient's clinical pathway with the simple touch of a button.
30 Degree Head of Bed Alarm and Trending
Hill-Rom’s TotalCare Bed System 30° HOB Angle Alarm is designed to alert caregivers when the head of the bed falls below a 30-degree angle. Some studies have indicated that maintaining the patient's head of bed at a greater than a 30-degree angle decreases the risk to the patient of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) or the aspiration of gastric contents. The Head Angle indicator can monitor how long (hours and minutes) the Head Angle is above 30º – for up to eight days – assisting hospitals to comply with VAP prevention protocols and guidelines.
FullChair Egress Position Mechanism
This simple mechanism facilitates exiting the bed for ambulation, enabling patients to achieve functional mobility sooner in the care process with reduced risk of injury to themselves and caregivers. Based on the patient’s condition, the patient has the option of exiting by the side or end of the specialty hospital bed.
Shearless Pivot Patient Positioning
By reducing the need for patient repositioning “up-in-chair.” This feature enhances caregiver safety and productivity, as well as patient comfort.
FlexAfoot Retractable Foot Mechanism
Caregivers can customize the overall length of the adjustable hospital air bed. The retracted footboard provides support to the patient’s feet, reducing the need for additional foot support devices. The overall surface can be retracted up to 12” (30.5 cm), which also aids the caregiver during transport in tight spaces. spaces.
